This thing sounds exceptionally smooth & "vintage" without being dull or muddy. It's almost a poor man's RCA 77 with a tighter pattern & without the boomy lows.
I've used it on every album I recorded over the past few years & it's always delivered.
Sounds fantastic on vocals, acoustic guitars, distorted (and clean) amps, bass amps, snare drums (fat), bass drum, even overheads. Would probably sound great on piano, vibraphone & horns as well.
Out of the many microphones I own, this one truly works on every source & makes recording easy. It's very rugged as well.
I'm only selling because I have more of these & just too many mics in general.
Everything works & sounds as it should, including the bass roll-off switch.
